Whether you're visiting in a group, want to discover our portraits in a guided tour, or prefer a digital guide to follow at your own pace, we have a range of options for touring the National Portrait Gallery.
Free daily tours
Our Visitor Experience team run free daily talks and tours in the Gallery.
Highlights tours take place at 11.00 and 15.00 and last for about 45 minutes.
Portrait of the day talks take place at 12.30 and 14.00 and last for about 30 minutes.

Group tours
Private tour groups can book as a self-led group for up to ten people.
We also offer an exclusive, expert-led programme of specialist tours that enable your group to see the treasures of the Gallery and enjoy a rich and engaging experience.
